UNDER PRESSURE

I have a 54-reg MGTF 135 registered in 2004 and am getting contradictory advice on the required tyre pressures. I have the basic MGTF 15” alloy wheels with 185/55R15 Avon front tyres and 205/50R15 Continental rear tyres. I also have the Rimmer Brossupplied ‘OEM’ soft suspension option which I had fitted a few years ago. The mechanic who regularly services my car (not the soft suspension installer) specialises in MGF/TFs and insists that my tyres should be set at 26psi front, 32psi rear but this contradicts the manual
