Efficiency boost

Remember Chris Corrigan, the union buster who took on the wharfies back in 1998 when our ports had become so inefficient that stevedore Patrick decided enough was enough and sacked the lot of them?

Australian ports at the time were moving containers at well below world standard rates and Corrigan argued the company had too little control over its own workforce. He was backed at the time by the Howard government and the National Farmers Federation.
