Having planned a visit to McLean’s Island Steam Scene, a ‘museum’ located near Christchurch Airport on New Zealand’s South Island, was disappointed to find that the circular 1km-long Bush Tramway wasn’t running, despite it being advertised as a running day. This operation is scheduled to take place on the first and third Sunday of the month and the day in question was the first Sunday of March!
