HOW DID YOU GET STARTED TAKING PHOTOS?

I actually completed a Diploma in Professional Photographic Imaging way back in New Zealand in the early 2000s. Since that time I have had various ebbs and flows of psych, creativity and confidence. I dabbled in wedding and event photography, but I have always been drawn to a kind of documentary portrait photography style. After catching the climbing bug my focus became very… ah… one dimensional. I just wanted to climb, climb, climb, and photography pretty much went on the back burner.
