HEAD VROOM

Jonathan Atkinson is a lifelong Mini fan, but he also happens to be six foot five tall so the thought of even attempting to fit inside a regular Mini without bending himself in two has always been far from tempting. After feasting his eyes on a modified Spruce Green convertible Moke at the Mini’s 40th birthday party at Silverstone he discovered there was a way around his predicament.

It may have taken two decades to reach completion with many significant ups and downs along the way, but as Mokes go, this must be one of the finest examples we’ve seen for a long time!

Jonathan was first introduced to Minis by his dad, John, who happened to be a welder and fabricator. “He was always fixing cars for other people, as well as his own Minis and Morris Minors,” Jonathan remembers. “I used to sit on his knee and help to steer while he was moving these cars around.”
