Q:I have a 1968 Dodge Super Bee that I have owned since new. It now has 130,000 miles on the mostly original suspension. I would like to improve the ride quality by rebuilding the front suspension and keeping the original torsion bars.
The front sway bar was replaced with an 11/8-inch bar in 2010, a new Pitman arm was installed in 2011, both upper ball joints were replaced in 2018, new shocks were added in 2018, the original steering gear box was rebuilt in 2011, front disc brakes were fitted in 2003, and an idler arm was replaced in 1998 (at 93,178 miles) and again in 2011 (at 113,527 miles).
I have been very meticulous about greasing the front end. Sometimes, when going over bumps, it sounds as if the whole front end will fall out. I want better ride quality and steering without all the noise. Also, the torsion bars have been
