Gricing the Castles
uring the summer, once we had been released from captivity and had some freedom restored to us, I set to getting out and about going to places which had been on my list to visit for some years – but which somehow I’d just never done. Armed with an English Heritage membership card, I started off at Mount Grace Priory in North Yorkshire before moving on to ‘cop’ some castles – the ancient stone sort, not the Great Western Railway type!
