Although Rupert Murdoch was 90 last March, he did not publicly celebrate his birthday until September.
Some 200 friends and acquaintances from the media, business and politics were invited to a bash at the media mogul’s Georgian pile near Henley, where he had been sequestered during the pandemic.
His daughter Elisabeth introduced an affectionate video tribute in which the theme tune from , the television series based on Murdoch family intrigue and supposed backstabbing, was played. Journalists present included former editor Paul editor Fraser Nelson.
