Staring down at the pregnancy stick, I waited anxiously for the results.
My partner Glenn, now 31, and I had been together for six years, and couldn’t wait to start a family of our own.
It’s all we’d ever wanted.
And so, after missing my period in September 2019, I took a test instantly.
Two lines.
‘I’m pregnant,’ I smiled at Glenn.
We were both thrilled by the news, and immediately began thinking of names and nursery themes.
Other than a bit of morning sickness, the first few weeks of my pregnancy were total bliss.
Only, eight weeks in, I’d gone to visit my parents Sharon, 54, and David, 56, for the afternoon.
Sitting on the sofa, suddenly, the most excruciating pain shot through my right hip.
‘Ahhhh!’ I yelped.
