NO HEDGEHOGS
I would disagree with Peter Whitfield on hedgehog demise (Letters,6October).Hedgehogs are not common anywhere now, with few in urban areas and even fewer in rural ones. The reason has nothing to do with the badger; more so industrial agriculture and garden chemicals that are destroying the insect populations on a wholesale basis, plus huge applications of slug pellets.
