110g (4oz) self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting
50g (1½oz) fresh white
breadcrumbs
finely grated zest of 1 small unwaxed lemon
75g (2¾oz) vegetable suet
50ml (1½fl oz) whole milk
For the filling
125g (4½oz) unsalted butter, cubed, plus extra for greasing
125g (4½oz) light muscovado sugar
1 unwaxed lemon, halved
For the crème Anglaise (enough for 4 people)
250ml (9fl oz) whole milk
