VW Camper & Bus

IN FOR THE LONG HAUL

“I’ve worked my way through most of the VW camper line-up”

"Next time you go for a drive in the country, don’t come back until Monday morning.” This was the legend by which Volkswagen advertised the supremely versatile Type 2 campervan back in 1967, and it was a notion which resonated strongly with buyers. The sense of adventure, combined with the inherent dependability and utility of the VW brand. “The rear-mounted engine gets you through snow, sand and mud,” the adverts continued, as if the buyer wasn’t already hooked. This really was a go-anywhere prospect for an intrepid generation. A VW campervan isn’t just a vehicle, it’s a portal to an elevated stratum of living. This is no mere functional machine, but something which will undoubtedly become a beloved member of the family as the relationship grows and more and more adventures are undertaken. Because once you’re hooked on that creamy-smooth blend of discovery and relaxation, there’s no turning back – the obsession can only grow.
