HITTING CONCRETE

hen rereading issue 731, August 2021, I noticed a question in the Letters page from Keith Williams asking how I managed to hit a lump of concrete on a totally empty road? Believe it or not I have asked myself the same question several times. My only excuse is that the lump of concrete was almost certainly from the highway I was travelling over and was the same colour. It was also noon so there was no shadow and the rubble had irregular edges and no straight lines. I suspect my eyes saw it, but my brain failed to recognise
