A GREAT WEEKEND ON THE GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY

David Reed visited the Great Central Railway for their Beer & Vintage Festival, and raised a glass to the visiting engines and rollers that were displayed at Quorn & Woodhouse station

Quorn & Woodhouse station on the Great Central Railway saw a variety of traction engines attend their Beer & Vintage Festival that was held over 22-25 July. This festival usually takes place around Easter time, but with Covid restrictions still in operation it was delayed for a couple of months. This year’s event featured over 70 beers from a number of independent breweries, with various gins, ciders and perrys also being available at three stations along the railway. But it was at Quorn & Woodhouse station that was of most interest to these columns, with the station yard hosting
