Insurance age discrimination?

Having been shielding for more than 15 months, instead of twiddling thumbs I dug out an old bike and in that time have transformed it into a spectacular jewel (yes, really). Now ready for the first road ride shake down, I went to insure it on an agreed value basis; that in itself was not an issue.

But after multiple questions, which is okay and expected (we need to get it right), I was told: “Sorry, we have recently been advised we will no longer offer cover to riders of 75-plus.”
