Jupiter’s Crazy Year Ahead
Jupiter is going on a roller-coaster ride in 2022. The planet of pride, generosity, and higher education will leave Aquarius for Pisces on December 28, 2021, zip into Aries on May 10, 2022, and then on October 28, 2022 it will move retrograde back into Pisces, staying in that sign until December 20, 2022, when he reenters Aries.
Whew! What’s wrong with Jupiter? On average this planet spends 1 year in a zodiac sign, but averages are for math class. Jupiter moves quickly, but like every other outer planet, it has a retrograde period each year, so its actual time in each sign tends to vary. On the other hand, it just seems like it is moving from sign to sign just a bit more than usual in 2022! That first five or so months in Pisces goes so quickly that it almost seems as if the big planet thinks he made a mistake (think of that average here) and has to go back and make up for it.
Part of the reason Jupiter’s hustling and bustling backward and forward from one sign to another in 2022 seems exaggerated is the difference between the two signs involved. Changing signs during the course of the year means he will alter his energy pattern as he moves quickly back-and-forth from emotional and creative Pisces into gung-ho, getit-done Aries and then back into watery Pisces, before heading back to fire-starter Aries. What a year we have in front of us!
