The Moon’s mysterious energy points switch sign
The nodes of the Moon began an 18-month journey on January 19, 2022, just in time to welcome in the new year. Fine, you say, so what is a node and what does it have to do with the Moon…or me? Very simply, a lunar node is one of two points at which the paths of the Moon and the Sun cross, and though that may not sound too exciting at first, the fact is that the lunar nodes have played a role in astrology since the time when our favorite pastime was invented by the Babylonians, way back in years B.C.E. Among other things, these two energy points play a role in eclipses, which should give you a clue to their importance.
Of the two, the one called the North Node is a wellspring of positive energy, a point that symbolizes a place in your chart associated with unexpected blessings. Through its position by sign, or its contact with your birth planets as it moves along, the North Node can clue you in to ways to make changes that improve your life, or that relieve you of burdens that have held you back.
