Spotting the golden arches, my mouth watered. ‘Nine McNuggets, please,’ I said, pulling up to the drive-through window and shielding my face in case the server recognised me. After all, I’d already stopped by that morning, plus twice the day before.
‘HOW HAD I LET MYSELF GET THAT BIG?’
Collecting my order at the next window, I drove to a nearby car park and scoffed the lot in a matter of seconds. Then, checking no one was around, I ditched the wrappers in the nearest bin, relieved that nobody had seen me.
