Consumer resistance puts pressure on red meat prices

Our previous coverage of the South African livestock industry made mention of consumer resistance to high red meat prices. This opposition resulted in the prices of Class A beef decreasing 1,2% and Class C beef increasing 1,2% in August (see Graph 1).
