Hilo Trollers Tournament Results

The Hilo Trollers ran their July tournament on Sunday, July 18, and a good time was had by all. While the number of participating boats was small because some captains had to drop out, some nice-sized fish were landed. The largest ‘ahi and largest fish overall was a 139.7-lb yellowfin tuna landed on the S.S. MANAPUA by Capt. Darin Okino and crew. Additionally, the won the gift certificate donated by S. Tokunaga Store for the first fish landed. The largest ono was a fat 38.7-pounder landed on the by Capt. Carl Shioji and crew. The also landed the largest mahimahi, a 21-lb fish. The Grand Champion Award went to the with Capt. Adrian Cadaoas and crew for their 127.4-lb ‘ahi and 27.6-lb ono.
