Nose:
Reminding me of Cognac, apples and pears are prominent. Resinous wood, sweet smoky pork roast with pineapple slices.
Palate: The sweet smoky pork notes become quite prominent campfire smoke, turning very earthy like turf. The fresh pears are back, quickly giving way to fresh ginger spice and green leaves.
Finish: Earthy green notes linger for a medium finish.
Comments: Things get pretty hot, but the complexity and switch on the palate is very interesting and worth sipping slowly.

Nose: A tropical fruit salad. Lychee and honeydew melon is joined by pomelo and overripe papaya. Kiwi and sweet malt is joined by white sesame and all-butter croissant with lemon curd. Sultana and mixed nuts, too.
Palate: Medium bodied. Intensely fruity at first, then buttery notes are joined by pistachio. Citrus top notes round out the edges – orange zest, in particular – with a suggestion of rose.
