I believe Charles Hartley’s main point about grouse shooting may be a dying one (Moor for your money, 11 August). To shoot grouse on a budget may be virtually impossible now that lead shot has been done away with and, as steel shot becomes incredibly dangerous to use firing at rocky outcrops, bismuth is really the only option.
