emember that terrifying summer when the country was on fire and our cities were blanketed in smoke? It was a whole pandemic ago, back when mask wearing was novel. I was six months pregnant and starting to panic about the environmental disaster my baby would inherit. My gut instinct was to shift the blame and expect someone else to solve the problem, like my unborn baby who, to date, had barely lifted a bloody finger to help out. But given this would be her first time fighting over-consumption and the war on waste, I nobly offered to step up and lend her a hand. Together, we agreed on a mission to raise her zero waste, without disposable and single-use plastics – only reusables and recyclables.
