The key to longevity
Brothers Jac, 56, and Peet Linssen, 59, appreciate Massey Ferguson tractors and their Perkins engines, having used them on their mixed farm for many years. In the south of the Netherlands, in the province of Limburg, on the edge of a town called Horn by the River Maas, the brothers’ farm consists of dairy and beef cattle, as well as potatoes, sugar beet, barley and maize.
They also grow around 10 acres of leeks for the fresh market, which keeps them busy during the winter months, and the type of soil varies from heavy river clay to sandy loam. There is a long history of successful farming in this region.
