Rubbing my tummy, a smile spread across my face.

‘Can you believe it?’ I beamed at my husband Andrew, 41, in 2013.

We’d been married for just over a year and we were so excited to be parents together.

I already had four from a previous relationship – Tiffani, 25, Aaron, 22, Jack, 18, and Lucas, 16 – but I couldn’t wait to have a child with Andrew.

And at 12-weeks, we told the kids the news.

Showing them the scan, none of them were expecting it.

‘You’re lying. This is Toshiba’s scan!’ my youngest blurted, staring at the words printed on the top of the image.

Looking at Andrew, we couldn’t help but laugh.

‘No darling, that’s the name of the machine,’ we told him.

It was comical
