TRY THE FLOAT FOR POLLACK

POLLAC ARE A POPULAR SPORT fish in the UK, Ireland and Norway because they are not hard to catch when lure or float fishing and put up quite a fight.

In their early years, pollack stay close to the coast and only when they reach 35cm to 40cm do they head for open water. Here they will look for structures that offer protection and a food source. In the North Sea, these are usually the ship wrecks where pollack have been caught for years but more recently their numbers seem to have increased. This species prefers a strong current.
