ewind to March 2019. I’m sitting in my shoebox apartment in the countryside of Japan, staring outside at my beloved S14, thinking about the next adventure. It really just fell into my lap — the next adventure, that is. Matt Tasker and Kat Tasker, who run YSM Workshop, became friends many years ago when Matt’s workshop in Auckland was the only place I’d trust with my (now sold) red S14; this was circa 2011! One day — as all great stories start — I got a message from Matt saying that he’d booked flights and tickets to the 2019 Summer Matsuri at Ebisu Circuit. Without thinking about it too much, I told him, “Awesome —
