’M preparing for a day trip to the curiously-named town of Biggleswade to visit my friend Claudia who, back from her year-long travels, is dog-sitting there. Bonnet open, the Fella is helping top up the oil before heading off to work, as this is an annoying task when one has a full oil can. A passing dog walker exclaims to the Fella: “I really admire you for doing all that to keep a nice old vehicle on the road!” He responds with: “Tell that to her – it’s her vehicle!” I thank her politely, especially because the local neighbourhood
