EPSOM’S Dan Morley and Islington’s Louis Isaacs waged non-stop war at York Hall, with Morley taking the verdict after eight terrific rounds.
Referee Mark Bates scored it 78-75, which I initially thought rather wide – but boxing is scored round-by-round, and most sessions looked extremely close. The margin might suggest Morley won without much trouble, but Isaacs gave him plenty.
