ADAM COPE created history when he beat former gym comrade Jordan Ellison to lift the vacant Northern Area lightweight title. The unbeaten 26-year-old clinched a 98-93 points victory over the Seaham warrior at the Stadium of Light from referee Ron Kearney to follow in the ringsteps of siblings Peter and Daniel, becoming the first set of three brothers to win this belt.
