ROWBOTTOM STARS AS FAVOURITES FALTER

Oulton Park is known as a drivers’circuit, but the drivers who were battling at the top of this year’s British Touring Car Championship will be glad to see the back of it.

While there was a maiden win for Dan Rowbottom’s Team Dynamics Honda Civic, a first win of the season for Rory Butcher’s Speedworks Toyota and a final flourish from Senna Proctor in the BTC Racing Honda, the main players were left licking their wounds.

Between them, the top two in the standings coming into the event –Ash Sutton (Laser Tools Racing Infiniti Q50) and Tom Ingram (Excelr8 Motorsport Hyundai I30 N) – left with only 18 points collected between them from the six outings. There is plenty of drama left in the battle for this season’s crown.
