Tiny but deadly

As I pottered around the living room after breakfast, my little girl Sophia, 1, played with her toys on her mat.

‘I’m watching you,’ I smiled, as she pulled herself to sitting.

It was September 2018 and my husband Yahya, then 50, and I had celebrated Sophia’s first birthday a week earlier.

She’d taken her first wobbly steps, but she was still a little unsteady, cruising on the furniture.

At the age where we needed to keep a constant eye on her!
