Staycation substitutes

WHILE EXOTIC and favourite foreign holidays are unavailable to us for a second summer, there are plenty of choices for stay-at-home travellers to enjoy Britain.

We decided to look at some of those familiar overseas destinations and find alternatives on our own shores which can often more than make up for missing out, all without the need for the hassles of international travel.

For example, you could swap Las Vegas’s Strip for Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile which, like the infamous City of Lights, is dazzling.
