BOLOGNESE WITH GARLIC BREAD TOPPING
SERVES 4
PREP AND COOK: 30 MINS
750g beef mince
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
680g jar tomato pasta sauce
250g packet garlic bread
1 cup grated pizza cheese
Mixed salad, to serve
1 Heat an oiled large, deep, ovenproof frying pan. Add beef, onion and garlic. Cook, using a wooden spoon to break up mince, for about 6 minutes, or until cooked. Season with salt and pepper.
2 Add pasta sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally, until hot. Remove pan from heat.
3 Cut bread all the way through the pre-cut slices. Arrange over the mince mixture and sprinkle with pizza cheese.
Cook in a hot oven (200°C) for about 10 minutes, or until bread is toasted and cheese melted. Remove.
