THATCHED STRAW SHORTAGE

Last September’s issue of Kelsey Media’s Old Glory magazine (which covers all vintage transport) featured a 1905 Burrell 6hp single-crank compound No. 2770 Sir Gordon. It was connected to Edgar Collyer’s 1951 Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies threshing drum and Claas buncher. The outfit provided some superb quality Squareheads Master longstraw for thatching and both have many years of work left in them.
