JEKYLL & HYDE TOUR ANNOUNCED
Following the latest government guidance concerning the planned reopening of theatres in May, Blackeyed Theatre have announced that The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde will now open in September. The production, which was brought back to the stage for just one public performance and filmed in September 2020, will now open on 14 September 2021 and tour across the UK until May 2022.
The majority of the theatres due to host the production between April and June this year have booked alternative dates in either autumn 2021 or spring 2022. The September opening means the production will now tour a year later than planned but ensures audiences still have the opportunity to experience live the anticipated return of Robert Louis Stevenson’s gripping tale of duality
Sherlock Holmes: The Valley Of Fear, the production scheduled to open this September, will now tour from September 2022 until the spring of 2023
Artistic Director, Adrian McDougall, said, “Difficult though the last twelve months have been, I’m relieved that we will still be able to bring Jekyll & Hyde to stages across the UK, and by waiting until the autumn, we can ensure that touring the show is safe for the company as well as audiences. I’m thankful to the cast, to theatres and audiences for their patience, and I’m delighted that we will all soon be able to enjoy the magic of live theatre once again”.
