CCAC Recommends Designs for Three American Women Quarters

The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee considered designs for three women to be honored in the U.S. Mint’s American Women quarter series when it met via teleconference June 16.

The Mint intends to honor five women in each year of the program, beginning in 2022 and continuing through 2025.

To meet its manufacturing schedule, the Mint presented designs in March for the first two honorees, famed writer Maya Angelou and trailblazing astronaut Dr. Sally Ride. Designs for the remaining 2022 honorees were presented and considered by the CCAC during its June 16 meeting.
