KICK OFF: How do you feel about your first season at Sundowns?

Aubrey Modiba: I think I started off slow as I was getting to understand the philosophy and the style of play here. But credit to the coaches, my teammates and everyone around the team for helping me to adapt so that I can contribute something.

As a team we got what we wanted, which was the league title, even though we also wanted the other trophies.

I speak about adapting because early on I was not playing my normal game. I was playing with fear and the coaches came to me and showed me videos of myself while I was playing my best football, which was the reason why they signed me for Sundowns.

They reminded me that I need to play the way I was playing when they saw me at SuperSport United. I needed to play with more confidence and without fear.

So far, I am glad I have been able to do that even though it can still become better
