ARE HIGH-PRESSURE RUBBER TYRE VALVES SUITABLE?

Q I recently decided to replace the wheels on my Rapido DF9097, while fitting new tyres.

Both had been recommended to me by professionals as being suitable for my motorhome.

Following advice, I also requested replacement bolt-on steel valves.

When fitting the tyres, the fitter telephoned to say that he was unable to tighten the valves properly, and it also so happened that one of his colleagues, who had fitted steel valves to his motorhome, had problems with them corroding.
