REVIEW: SIMRAD NSS EVO3S

THERE is no doubt that Simrad offers some of the best marine electronics on the market, so when they release an upgraded multi-function display we’re always keen to see what improvements have been made. I’ve been running a 12” Simrad NSS EVO3 on my 5.8m Formosa for the past three years and have loved the unit from day dot.

The ease of use and resolution of the Simrad EVO3 is outstanding, so when the new EVO3S was released in late 2020 I was keen to upgrade to compare how the new model performed against the earlier EVO3. My initial thoughts were “how can the previous model be improved?”.

After measuring my dash
