Q&A WITH CARL GOTHAM

Carl Gotham heads up SAIC’s ‘Advanced London’ design studio, in central London, and he and his team are engaged in pushing forward the boundaries of many of the company’s own brands, including MG. David Knowles caught up with him while he was still freshly celebrating the positive reception given to the new MG ‘Cyberster’ sports car concept; a project which involved collaboration between SAIC’s Shanghai and London teams.

Obviously the Cyberster is intended as a discussion piece and would need to be altered to become a viable production sports car. If such a thing were to come to pass, how much do you think would need to be changed?
