As things transpired, it was 25 years later that Glenn debuted the car at the 2019 VolksWorld Show. So what happened in the meantime? Let’s face it, Glenn is not alone in having a dream with a timescale in mind, only for it to go awry somewhere along the way. It’s a familiar tale to all of us here at VolksWorld, but the important bit is Glenn’s car didn’t end up sold on as an unfinished project. It did, however, sit in the garage through a marriage, divorce, several house moves, meeting a new partner and having two sons. He never gave up on it, though, even when it didn’t seem particularly relevant to his stage of life any more.

It all started for Glenn when he found out his dad had owned a 1970 Beetle from ’73-’84. The fact Glenn was born in ’81 explains why he only found that out later in life, and doesn’t remember the car. But from
