Inner VISION

Not all patina VWs are created equal. Years ago, ‘Rat Look’ burst onto the scene, and promptly got itself a bad name due to a number of unsafe, barely patched-up wrecks being put back on the road when they probably shouldn’t have been. Thankfully, that trend seems to have gone away, replaced by an appreciation of natural wear, underpinned in many cases by fully restored vehicles.

This 1961 Single Cab, built for Nico Anseeuw by De Garaasj in Belgium, is a prime example of the current trend, and what’s underneath couldn’t be further from what it at first appears on top.
