Expect An Above Average Atlantic Hurricane Season This Year
The forecast calls for 3 to 5 major hurricanes. The agency also said it's revising upwards what counts as the "normal" number of storms in a season.

We're likely to see an above-average hurricane season in the Atlantic this year, according to the latest forecast from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The agency 13 to 20 named storms in the 2021 season in the Atlantic. Of those, NOAA is forecasting six to 10 to become hurricanes, with top winds of at least 74 mph.
