Heart’s desire

“IT’S A NICE morning in Paris, it’s autumn, so I can’t complain. I’m home,” says Pierre Hardy, creative director of Hermès jewellery. We’re on the phone to discuss the new fine jewellery collection he has designed called Lignes Sensibles, which translates as ‘sensitive lines’ – appropriate when you consider the fine detail of the collection. The twinkling stonework is intricate, complex and mysterious and the collection could be Hardy’s boldest and best yet, although each of the six collections he has designed since joining Hermès three decades ago has been singularly epic.
