THERE wasn’t a lot to recommend the garden surrounding Coldharbour Cottage when Amanda Cranston took it on more than 20 years ago.
Back then, a few conifers, plenty of laurel, a massive fuchsia and berberis, a holly, some apple and plum trees, and a lawn were the sum total of the horticultural interest surrounding the 19th century property,
