After glugging the sweet, delicious cola from the bottle, I breathed a contented sigh.
I can’t get enough of the stuff, I thought.
I hadn’t tried cola until the age of 10, but now, at 14, I was hooked.
My dad, John, then 44, loved it, too, and we’d often enjoy a can together.
At the supermarket, he’d say to me, ‘You can have a treat.’
Shunning lollies and chocolate, I always made a beeline for the cola.
