After a whirlwind day at the office, I was naturally looking forward to spending a night at the city’s oldest and most revered hotel. Located in the heart of Denver’s lively LoDo historic district, The Oxford Hotel has a history as rich as the people who have stayed there. Built in 1891 when the railway was pertinent to business travel and influential staycations for couples, its location suits its purpose: less than one block away from Denver Union Station, three blocks from Coors Field, and near the Colorado Convention Center and Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
