LEAD LEADERSHIP

A reader suggested contacting every BASC member regarding the lead decision and bemoaned that a committee had made the decision(Letters, 10 March). Where do you draw the line as to how often you ask the full membership? In the case of BASC, the committee are voted in by the membership that can be bothered to vote, and they represent the membership. The cost of writing to every member for decisions would be immense and have a limited response.
