Why we should never stop asking the tough questions

In law, there is a basic requirement called rationality. This means that every law must have a clear purpose and there must be a reasonable chance that the law can achieve said purpose.

This all sounds pretty clear, but when you are working with a topic that is highly sensitive and emotive, it’s not always straightforward. The latest amendments proposed to the National Road Traffic Act are a prime example of this.
